Which Lord of the Flies character are you?

If I were to try to compare myself to any of the characters in this book it would be on Piggy. I believe my personality closely resembles Piggy's because I tend to take "thought out" actions in response to several situations. Although one very distinct way I am different from Piggy in this aspect is that I often take a very "care free" approach towards life. In the book it is seen that Piggy symbolizes the scientific aspect of our society and he often pushes for efficient and necessary actions to help improve the boys chances of survival, such as building a shelter. I too would have done a similar action versus getting caught up in making fire.
Another way I could possibly resemble Piggy is our approach to confronting problems. Throughout the book Piggy is often called names and teased but he endured the bullying and decided not to resent them because he knew that their survival on the island also depended on his intellect. I would also confront many problems like this, the "forgive and forget" method which we have discussed at some point in class before. I would make it my goal to try and not "dislike" people who had acted rudely to me and forgive then forget. I find this method particularly suitable to me because my personality is not very aggressive. (Btw it's 11:26pm right now WOOT WOOT >:D    )

Ugh Friday blog

Fridays are usually good days, they really are. It symbolized good sleep and at most times, much needed breaks from a stressful week of school. On the other hand, you have Fridays during the last week of school break. Stressful, that's what these days usually are. Returning to school is never the root of the problem, but their homework is. I for one neglected to do any form of homework besides light studying and in consequence, I had to stay up past one AM, feel stressed, do homework, work on writing weekday blogs on weekend nights, and worst of all was to refrain from watching another episode of a Korean drama BECAUSE THOSE TAKE UP A WHOLE HOUR FOR ONE EPISODE. So here I am on my homework chair, writing a blog, writing some essays, reading a nonfiction book, creating a project about a nonfiction book, not watching Korean drama D:, and the moral of this story? Don't procrastinate as much as my younger brother did, because even though starting at Friday will make you vent your stress through a blog that you had to do for homework, starting your homework on Sunday will make you cry like this (TT.TT). What did I do this Friday? I bled for you Ms.K pls giv meh an A pls D: I NEED MY A!! OTHERWISE I WON'T GET RICE FROM MY IMAGINARY STEREOTYPICAL ASIAN PARENTS(mines really aren't like that lol)(yess I'm done). Time to find a nonfiction book to do a report on...

Thursday blog

This Thursday? My highlight was when I went to the orthodontist. Even though I went there numerous times, for homework's sake I'll recount my first time...I have always felt scared of places where medical surgeries could take place. Needless, blood, sharp pointy things, and the ominous smell of a perfectly clean room that all dentist related buildings gave off had the uncanny ability to make me nervous. My mom and I was at the orthodontist office. For weeks my mom was always pestering me about how my teeth was all messed up, she didn't liked it. Yet in vain, for weeks I have tried to convince her it was unnecessary, I was okay with how I looked I would tell her. It's too expensive and not with it I would plead.  Honestly, looking back after 3 years I was only scared of change(especially ones that hurt lol) and in the end braces seriously helped with how I brushed my teeth and how I ate food. In example my "before" teeth looked like ®¥°5:=#=))_#/)(!&46:/=$225=/ whereas now, they are more like 12345. From this experience(I am still experiencing, I still have braces after 3 years -_-) I learned to be more accepting and rather eager for "change" and new things such as food, activities, people, movies, music, and sights.

Wednesday Blog

Wednesday consisted of a certain new experience for me. After work for that day we then went home to plant flowers. Having never worked with planting vegetation before it was a refreshing activity. My parents began it by showing me and my siblings the proper hole depth for the plant to be placed in. Besides the fact that being the oldest child meant i would have to dig for the other 3 children. Although at first these plants looked rather unpleasant i was told that they would become pretty within a year so not much left to do but wait. Overall, i felt excited about doing this type of activity and afterward i was pleased with the results and felt refreshed from having worked outdoors and out of my comfort zone.

Tuesdays -.-

My Tuesday was so NORMAL that summing it up nearly put me to sleep. Yet through great willpower and incredible stamina, I will somehow write this blog. My Tuesday began like any other Saturday and Sunday by sleeping in until 9AM where then i would have get up and ready myself to go to the mall. Then at this mall I would work... and I also...worked. Then after my hours of work I went home, ate dinner and slept. Should there be ANY highlight for that waste of day it would be that I found the time to watch some Korean dramas and read Rick Riordan's book, The House of Hades. Besides feeling bored for a better part of the day, doing the things i liked to do entertained me. On a side note i really dislike how typing for a blog does not automatically change the "i" to a capital "I" and during the process of writing this blog i had to go back numerous times to correct that mistake until i simply gave up. Happy Tuesday everyone yippee! -.-

Monday blog

The highlight of my Monday was that I got to go underneath my house where all the pipes and cables were. It all began at eight in the morning and my dad felt the burning need to have all the rooms in our house attached to the new antennae we acquired. So after my father got changed into working clothes we opened the panel in my brother's closet that exposed the area beneath the house. On a side note my brother was really freaked out there was a hole in his room (haha). The cavern the hole led straight down into was only as high knee. After a quick examination my dad stated that it should my job to go in that dark hole and get the cables connected (because his back hurts). I felt thrilled and excited to be able to go somewhere new even though it was underneath my house the whole time. Not to mention the fact that I had to crawl my way through sharp rocks and cobwebs with only a flashlight's beam to guide me. It was an exhilarating experience and from it I believe I understand the foundations and pipe systems in my house a great deal better. Throughout the way my siblings guided me from above the house's floor by yelling directions or stomping their feet at the area where he cable should be. I emerged from that hole ten minutes later covered in dust, webs, and a thirst for claustrophobia inducing adventures.

Hand Gestures

The hand gestures used during acting is there to display emotion that the character is feeling to the audience  These gestures are a necessity to the audiences because in most cases of play acting there can be phrases with double meanings that can not be deciphered with just the sense of hearing alone. Yet these movements of the hands do not just benefit the audience, it also works in the favor of the actor as well. To put it simply, the gestures help the actor "become" the character physically and mentally to provide an overall more entertaining show.

SSR reflection

During our class time today I read the book Ender's Game. In this book it is evident that there is a constant threat of the "buggers" which are an alien species with the intent and technology to eradicate human kind. Within the context of the first pages of the book an analytical inference (lol) one could make is that the Earth in this book is heavily overpopulated. As evidence to this assumption it is written in the book that each family can conceive a maximum of only two children. I find interest in this book mainly because of the psychological adversity (another lol) the main character goes through and how descriptive the author is on the main character's thoughts, emotions, and reactions towards these adversaries. Another worthwhile interesting fact to mention is that these obstacles are caused by other humans and that they actually feel to some extent guilty of their actions but in the end it is all justified as their actions made Ender into the savoir of the human race.

Poetry slam reflection

Truthfully, I believe I could've done better with a longer poem. Looking back 7 hours ago I think presenting my longer and deeper poems would have more impact then my five sentence limerick. A good choice would have been my spoken word poem or my elegy and they are both over a minute long and they had more content then my limerick.

Free verse

What would I be without seafood?
Would I be a vegetarian?
Or perhaps I would eat fast food.
Seafood for lunch, seafood for dinner.
Fried fish on Mondays and octopus on Tuesdays.
I would be lost without seafood.

Days spent in an Asian mall.
Filled with only restaurants and jewelry stores.
Asian attire and alterations.
Pop! Goes all the fire crackers.
I practically live at the mall.

In my opinion I do not believe that special education and general education students should not be in the same classroom. If the special ed students were to share a classroom with the general ed students then in order to make this successful the teachers have to first be harsh to any who choose to be intolerant of each other's behavior or physique. This is there to ensure student's emotional safety while in school and in order to educationally  support every student then these students should be filtered by their level of education in a subject as it is now with the general ed students. This allows every student to progress in their studies while still in high school. The physical education class is still tricky because some people do have physical disabilities and should have their needs fulfilled while still providing them time to exercise. In order to accommodate for that I would still keep the keep the special ed and general ed students separated in their physical education courses.

So I was a tutor??

In my opinion I was expecting something slightly different from our time tutoring. I thought that we were going to teach things such as mathematics or the sciences but although physical education is an undesirable subject to most, I had fun playing with the special ed teenagers. Yet I also believe that today we were not tutors but a friend to them as we did not teach anything. Throughout the period I felt rather awkward but I was also determined. The reason i felt awkward was because I had little familiarity with the rules of the games we played and the person we were partnered with didn't always follow the exact rules given. Although throughout it all I was determined to have fun like always and to spread my enthusiasm to others. With that said I believe it was a productive use of our class time because we got to meet new people, have fun, and understand more of how our school operates with students who are enrolled here.

This soymilk ad again -.-

Claim: This here soymilk ad claims that it is healthier and tastier then regular dairy milk.
Audience: The people this ad is trying to reach consists of people who are thirsty and people who drink milk on a daily basis.
Pathos: It appeals to us because the hearts represents the love the man who is made out of milk has for soymilk.
Logos: Ad claims that the soymilk has fifty percent more calcium then regular dairy.
Ethos: This one is a stretch but this ad can seem more credible because of the use of a person to jump in the soymilk to symbolize that the consumer will love it.

Meh new years resolution

For my new years revolution i decided on three goals for 2014. The first one is to be more diligent in the amount of sleep I get during school nights. I tend to save my homework until ten in the night so in order to complete this goal I will begin my homework sooner and be more energized for school. Second is to dedicate more time to my studies and instead of watching Korean dramas or playing games or watching anime I will spend more time on studious activities. Last is to clean my room which I haven't done in a couple of weeks.
